Picture the Homeless provides support towards people. Regardless of race, ethnicity, culture, gender, family composition, age, sexual orientation, language, they are willing to help. However, their main goal is to help people facing homelessness and make the people hear their voices, not as a homeless person, but as a human being. 

With the uprising of former Mayor Giuliani’s policy in the 90’s, where the “administration policy of criminalizing homeless people was broadly supported,” two homeless people Anthony Williams and Lewis Haggins, Jr, created Picture the Homeless, to fight against the homelessness stigma as one voice.
